For those of you that have read my post Confessions of an Airhead (traveller), you will have gathered that patience is not one of my virtues. So, with rising impatience and an increasing sense of fernweh, I’ve spent a lovely Autumn afternoon editing photos from my last trip to Paris. 2015 holds two trips (Autumn and Spring) to the beloved land of lights, and I cannot wait to walk the characteristic streets, with their uneven cobblestoned surfaces. The incandescent luminosity, which casts a magical golden glow, and to marvel once more at the masonry architecture (now a lost old world trade). But for now, losing myself in the memories of the Paris from my past will have to do as my consolation for the moment. I hope that you manage to feel some of the magic of Paris from the images captured above. Apologies for the quality of some of the photos, I got very tired of carrying my Canon SLR around, and opted for my iPhone instead. I had my 9 year old daughter with me, so I ended up being the pack horse as it was. That aside, I wouldn’t change the experience for the world, except to maybe have stayed longer. But there’s always next year… count down already started.
Part 2 of Rue Memory Lane coming soon.
