Privately escorted by local born and bred Cedric from Cedric’s CV Tours, enhanced the experience of seeing Notre Dame for the first time. Chauffeured in a 1982 Citroen, not even the November chill of Paris in the late Autumn could perturb us from opening the car roof to allow the ‘essence’ of Paris to be fully appreciated.
Navigated the streets of a slumbering Paris early this morning, as tourists slept and Parisians continued about their everyday working life. Felt so very different… a beautiful voyeuristic experience discovering the ambience of the city created by it’s citizens.
The quest for Au Printemps on foot made exciting when “she” emerges framed by buildings from a bygone era. Admiration for the filigree balconies and ornate doors that transform ordinary streets into an extraordinary experience.
Unexpected treasures, iconic to Paris like the velib featured above await to be discovered.
And in the wee hours of the morning, for just a moment Paris belonged to only me (and the birds).
